DarkSide – Information Gathering & Social Engineering Tool

Hey Folks, in this tutorial we are going to introduce an information gathering based tool called “DarkSide“. The Darkside tool is coded in python language which comes with an awesome user interface. The tool comes with many interesting features which you can read from below.

Installation

We do not have to work hard to install this tool. Just we need to follow two or three steps and the installation will be done. Install the entire project from github by using the git command, go to the directory and run the “install.sh” program file using the bash command.

git clone https://github.com/Ultrasecurity/DarkSide
cd DarkSide
sudo bash install.sh

Install the rest of the dependencies using the following command.

python3 -m pip install -r requirments.txt

Install Neofetch

Neofetch is a command-line system information tool that displays information about your operating system. We need to install it using the following command.

apt install neofetch

Ready 😛 !! All is set up and now we need to execute the following command to boot this tool. Once it boots completely it will give us the location where the tool is hosted. Open the highlighted URL on your browser.

Good 😛 !! As you will see the tool is successfully hosted on our localhost. In the dashboard section, you can see the latest news related to cyber security.

Information Gathering – IP Lookup

As we know reverse IP lookup is also known as reverse DNS lookup, which is the process of querying the Domain Name System (DNS).

DNS lookup is the process of sending a query for a specific domain and getting the record that according to it.

SE – System Details via Link

Once you move towards the social engineering section, you will get three options, just select the first option to get system information via sending link.

Nice 😛 !! As soon as the victim opens your link, then the attacker will get all the information about the victim machine.

Once you select the option second, it will give you a link address that you will have to share with the victim and snapshots will start coming from the victim phone as soon as the victim opens your link.

Similarly, the third option is given to play a song on the victim system via link.
